Björk’s Voltaic: The Volta Tour, a concert film featuring stops on her visually dazzling Volta tour in Paris and Reykjavik, will be screened across the United States this June and July. There are more than 15 screenings already scheduled, with more in the works, all to coincide with the release of the very special DVD/CD/LP recording Voltaic, due out in the US on Nonesuch on June 30.
Available in five different physical configurations, Voltaic is a lovingly packaged celebration of the past two years of activities surrounding Björk’s Volta—her critically praised sixth studio album, which came out in 2007. Each of the deluxe versions of the project include the concert film on DVD. For more information on Voltaic and each of the different formats, available now for pre-order, click here.
And to celebrate the album's release, Nonesuch will be giving out a pair of tickets for the June 23 screening at New York City's School of Visual Arts Theater. For this event, the film will be shown in glorious high-definition video and audio in one of North America's greatest new venues, and every ticket holder at this screening will receive a free film poster.
To enter to win a pair of tickets to the New York screening, e-mail info@nonesuch.com by June 22 with the subject heading "Voltaic Ticket Contest."
