For Record Store Day Black Friday 2016, Conor Oberst released a new, limited-edition, black 7" vinyl single at independent record shops in the United States. That single is now available digitally on Apple Music, Spotify, and in the Nonesuch Store, where a very limited number of the 7" vinyl is now available as well [the vinyl has now sold out]. The single features a new full-band recording of "Tachycardia," a song on Oberst's 2016 solo album, Ruminations, paired with "Afterthought," an unreleased track from the Ruminations recording sessions. You can hear the tracks below via Oberst's YouTube channel.

American Songwriter includes Ruminations among the Top 50 Albums of 2016, calling the songs "mature, self-aware masterpieces: as fragile as gossamer wings, as steadfast as a storm." The Sunday Times of London places Ruminations at number 12 on its list of the 100 Best Records of the Year. "Ruminations is one of Conor Oberst's most personal records," says NPR, "a collection of brave, dark songs ... that are unmistakably moving and contain some of Oberst's best lyrics and imagery."

Conor Oberst concludes his fall tour of North America with two sold-out shows at The Cathedral Sanctuary at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles tonight and tomorrow. He embarks on a tour of Europe in January. For details, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

The twenty-seven disc box set Steve Reich Collected Works is due March 14, 2025, on Nonesuch. It features music recorded during the composer's forty years on the label—six decades of his compositions, including first recordings of his two latest works, Jacob’s Ladder and Traveler’s Prayer—plus two extensive booklets with new essays by Robert Hurwitz, Michael Tilson Thomas, Russell Hartenberger, Judith Sherman, and Nico Muhly, and a comprehensive listener’s guide by Timo Andres. Nonesuch made its first record with Steve Reich in 1985; he was signed exclusively to the label that year. Collected Works includes twenty-four discs of Nonesuch recordings and three from other labels.
