Nickel Creek—Chris Thile, Sara Watkins, and Sean Watkins—will tape a performance for Austin City Limits on Monday, August 25, at ACL Live at The Moody Theater, in Austin, Texas. The recently reunited Americana trio returns with its first new music in nine years and for its third appearance on the PBS series Austin City Limits, the longest-running live music television series, now celebrating its 40th season. Chris Thile also visited the show with Punch Brothers; Sara Watkins recently appeared on the show with the Decemberists. For free passes to the show, starting about a week before the taping, visit acltv.com and follow the show on Facebook and Twitter for notice of postings.

Nickel Creek, which released its Nonesuch Records debut album, A Dotted Line, earlier this year, is currently touring the United States with The Secret Sisters, Josh Ritter, and Sarah Jarosz performing as special guests along the way. The band's recent set at Pickathon in Oregon was described by The Oregonian as a "perfect performance ... their three-part vocals sounded less like harmonies than chords from a single instrument." Nickel Creek's August 23 show at ACL Live at the Moody Theatre with Jarosz is already sold out. For additional tour dates and details, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

To pick up a copy of A Dotted Line, head to iTunes or the Nonesuch Store, where vinyl and CD orders include a free MP3 download of the complete album at checkout; MP3 and FLAC lossless files are also available to purchase there.

The original cast album of Adam Guettel’s Broadway musical Days of Wine and Roses, with a book by Craig Lucas, starring Kelli O’Hara and Brian d’Arcy James, is now available on CD, following its recent digital release. “Repeated listenings compound the amazement,” the New York Times says of Guettel’s work, which “has always offered that kind of challenge—initially leaving a feeling of: Beautiful, but wait, I need to hear it again—and those up for it have a way of coming away shining like Moses down from the Mount. The new score has the same effect.” Guettel, O'Hara, and d'Arcy James—all of whom have been nominated for Tony Awards for Days of Wine and Roses—will sign copies of the CD at the Drama Book Shop in NYC this Wednesday, May 22.
