The Black Keys are in Antwerp, Belgium, tonight to launch their 2012 tour featuring music from their latest album, El Camino, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts when it was released on Nonesuch Records last month. The European leg of the tour will take the band from Belgium to France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the UK, over the next three weeks. The band begins its North American arena tour on March 2 at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati and will feature sold-out shows at Chicago’s United Center, DC’s Verizon Center, and two nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden followed by a second batch of dates in April, including shows at Austin’s Frank Erwin Center and Seattle’s Key Arena; special guests Arctic Monkeys open on the tour. The Black Keys will also headline two Friday nights at Coachella. See below for all the scheduled tour dates and go to nonesuch.com/on-tour for details.
The Black Keys documentary This is a Concert by The Black Keys debuted on Palladia, MTV Network's channel for HD programming, last week and has been airing in high-definition and will continue to air on the station at different times throughout the day and night over the coming weeks. The documentary was shot by MTV Hive during The Black Keys' concert at New York's Webster Hall last month celebrating the release of their new album. For details and air times, go to palladia.tv.
To pick up a copy of El Camino, head to the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include high-quality, 320 kbps MP3s at checkout; the album is also available to purchase there as 320 kbps MP3s and FLAC lossless files.
