The Low Anthem—fresh off a string of shows with Emmylou Harris that the Hartford Courant called "dazzling," and just as the band launches a five-date tour through the South with the Carolina Chocolate Drops this weekend—has confirmed an initial run of 2011 worldwide tour dates in support of the forthcoming album Smart Flesh, due out on Nonesuch February 22. An exclusive ticket pre-sale for US dates begins this Monday, December 6, for fans of The Low Anthem, with reduced service fees, as well as a ticket-plus-album-plus-tour-poster package offer; click here to sign up. See below for a complete tour itinerary.
To give fans an early listen to the new album, the band is offering the song "Ghost Woman Blues," from Smart Flesh, as a free download beginning today. You can download the track below.
Following their November tour dates together, Emmylou Harris invited The Low Anthem to join her at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for a Grand Ole Opry performance on December 11. Other upcoming touring highlights for the band include a January 13 performance at New York's Lincoln Center as part of the American Songbook series, and a January 26 show with Iron & Wine at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
Below are all of the currently announced dates. For more information, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.
