The LP, limited to 1,000 copies, is being sold exclusively through "mom and pop" record stores, with a few copies available through the Daytrotter website and via the bands' websites. This will be the first-ever vinyl release to feature a full Daytrotter Session and is being issued as a joint venture from The Low Anthem, Iron and Wine, and Daytrotter.

The two bands got to know each other on the road earlier this year, when Iron and Wine frontman Sam Beam invited The Low Anthem to open their US tour, which continues through April 27. Beam raved about the band's live show in a recent interview, saying "We played some shows in the UK together, and I thought they were great. Last time I saw them, [The Low Anthem's Ben Knox Miller] started doing his feedback loop with his cell phone and the whole crowd. It was beautiful. They're just fun to watch. And their music's great."

The Low Anthem's side of the LP features a live performance of six songs from their latest Nonesuch release, Smart Flesh, which Daytrotter proclaimed is "without question a contender for album of the year."

The split LP will be available via lowanthem.com and ironandwine.com, as well as select indie retailers and through daytrotter.com.

You can hear the original Low Anthem Daytrotter Session here, and the Iron and Wine session here. To pick up a copy of Smart Flesh, head to the Nonesuch Store now.

The twenty-seven disc box set Steve Reich Collected Works is due March 14, 2025, on Nonesuch. It features music recorded during the composer's forty years on the label—six decades of his compositions, including first recordings of his two latest works, Jacob’s Ladder and Traveler’s Prayer—plus two extensive booklets with new essays by Robert Hurwitz, Michael Tilson Thomas, Russell Hartenberger, Judith Sherman, and Nico Muhly, and a comprehensive listener’s guide by Timo Andres. Nonesuch made its first record with Steve Reich in 1985; he was signed exclusively to the label that year. Collected Works includes twenty-four discs of Nonesuch recordings and three from other labels.
