Mountain Man was in the Austin area to perform songs from its new album, Magic Ship, at NPR Music's SXSW Tiny Desk Family Hour, which All Songs Considered considers among the "'Wow' Moments from SXSW 2019"; South x San José at the San José Hotel; and Willie Nelson's Luck Reunion. Austin 360 includes Mountain Man's Luck Reunion set among its highlights, calling the group "a minimalist folk trio whose harmonies were so enchanting that a bubble of hushed reverence seemed to surround the immediate area of the stage during their set."

New York City public radio station WFUV was at South x San José and captured the trio's set. "Harmonies (and humor) result when [Mountain Man comes together]," says FUV's Sarah Wardrop, "and at South x San José, FUV was not only treated to songs from the trio's latest album, Magic Ship, but also the pure chemistry that continues to bring Molly Sarlé, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig and Amelia Meath together as this self-described 'aggressively quiet' band." You can catch a bit of that magic in the band's South x San José performance of the album tracks "Moon" and "Baby Where You Are," and listen to the complete forty-minute set at wfuv.org.

To pick up a copy of Magic Ship, head to your local independent record store, iTunes, Amazon, the Mountain Man Store, and the Nonesuch Store. Nonesuch Store bundle options include an exclusive tote bag. Magic Ship can also be heard on Spotify and Apple Music.

Mountain Man resumes its tour in Houston on Saturday and Preservation Hall in New Orleans on Sunday, and makes its way across the US this spring and summer. For details and tickets, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.
