Sam Amidon stopped by Yellow Couch Studio to perform "Pat Do This, Pat Do That," from his 2014 album, Lily-O, paired with "Blackbird" from his 2017 album, The Following Mountain, and "Another Story Told," also from the new album. You can watch the performances, for which he is joined by multi-instrumentalist Chris Vatalaro, here. "I've been a fan of Sam's music for quite a while now," says Yellow Couch's Steven Foxbury, "and those two put on one hell of a show."

Sam Amidon stopped by Yellow Couch Studio in Pittsburgh while on the road in the States and performed for the studio's sessions series: "Pat Do This, Pat Do That," from his 2014 album, Lily-O, paired with "Blackbird" from his 2017 album, The Following Mountain, in one video, and "Another Story Told," also from the new album, in another.     The Way Out of Easy, the first album from guitarist Jeff Parker and his long-running ETA IVtet—saxophonist Josh Johnson, bassist Anna Butterss, drummer Jay Bellerose—since their 2022 debut Mondays at the Enfield Tennis Academy, which Pitchfork named one of the Best Albums of the 2020s So Far, is out now on International Anthem / Nonesuch Records. Like that album, The Way Out of Easy comprises recordings from LA venue ETA, where Parker and the ensemble held a weekly residency for seven years. During that time, the ETA IVtet evolved from a band that played mostly standards into a group known for its transcendent, long-form journeys into innovative, groove-oriented improvised music.
