Welcome to NONESUCH'S mailing list.
When Selway wrote the songs that formed his solo debut album, Familial, he kept back a handful that he felt worked best as a separate piece of work; these now comprise Running Blind. The songs evolved during Selway’s live shows supporting Familial, and he subsequently returned to the studio to record them with his band. The Running Blind digital EP includes those four songs plus a live session video of the title track.
Philip Selway will be the guest on WNYC's Soundcheck Friday afternoon. Selway will perform songs from his new digital EP, Running Blind, and his 2010 solo debut album, Familial. Tune in Friday at 2 PM ET on 93.9 FM in New York and at online at wnyc.org. While in NYC, Selway will work in a few gigs with his band, Radiohead, as musical guests on the season opener of Saturday Night Live, featured on The Colbert Report, and performing two shows at Roseland Ballroom.
After launching his solo career with the critically acclaimed Familial last year, Philip Selway returns with the Running Blind EP, which Nonesuch Records has now released digitally in the US and Canada. (It was released earlier this year in the UK and Europe via Bella Union.) The EP includes four songs plus a live session video of the title track, which you can watch here.
