Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell have kicked off their European tour in support of their new duets album, Old Yellow Moon. These special "An Evening With Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell" shows feature the acclaimed artists (and longtime friends) performing material spanning their vast catalogues. Following last night's concert in Manchester, England, the tour makes additional stops throughout the UK and Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland before concluding in Hamburg, Germany, on May 31. The next leg of their US tour begins on June 15.

The line-up for the 2013 Festival d’été de Québec, which runs July 4 to 14, has been announced and includes performances from The Black Keys on the Plains of Abraham and Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell at Parc de la Francophonie, as well as free sets from Dr. John, Amadou & Mariam, and Fatoumata Diawara at Place Metro in Place d’Youville.

Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell were guests on today's episode of NPR's Fresh Air, talking with host Terry Gross about their long friendship and their new album, Old Yellow Moon. "Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell are such good solo singers," says Gross, "it's wonderful to hear them together, duetting on the new album Old Yellow Moon." Reviewing last night's show at the Beacon Theatre, the New York Times says they "reminisced, harmonized, sketched their kind of country canon and extended it to reflect on the present." Harris and Crowell "reclaimed the close harmonies they had in the 1970s, and their band was impeccable."

Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell bring their North American tour, featuring music from their new album, Old Yellow Moon, to NYC's Beacon Theatre tonight. The 27th South by Southwest (SXSW) Music and Media Conference gets under way in Austin, Texas, as thousands of bands and music lovers from all over the world descend on the live-music capital for several days of non-stop music making. Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell's album Old Yellow Moon, their first official collaboration since Crowell joined Harris' Hot Band in 1975, is out now (in Europe March 4). Harris and Crowell marked the occasion with a performance on the Late Show with David Letterman last night. The album earns four stars from Mojo and Q, which calls it "some of the best work of their careers." Country Music People gives this "magnificent album" a perfect five stars. Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell launch a tour together in March.

Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell have sat down for a chat about their new collaborative album, Old Yellow Moon. In the video, the duo partners discuss the roots of the album, their first official collaboration together since Crowell joined Harris's Hot Band in 1975, and offer a few intimate acoustic takes on some album tracks. “Rodney and I have been talking about doing a project together probably almost since we met," Harris says in the video.
