The Black Keys closed out their European summer festival tour with a performance at the Reading Festival Sunday night. The BBC was there and captured their performance of "Little Black Submarines," off El Camino. The band was also featured on last night's episode of Le Grand Journal on Canal+, performing "Gold on the Ceiling," also from El Camino. Watch both videos here. Punch Brothers will make their Austin City Limits debut when the band's performance airs on PBS on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Watch a preview of the show here. Also on the episode will be a set from The Civil Wars. The following week, ACL presents highlights from the Americana Honors & Awards Show; Punch Brothers, Chris Thile, and Carolina Chocolate Drops are all up for awards. The new ACL seasons begins October 6 with an hour of music from Radiohead. Punch Brothers perform live at the ACL Music Festival in Austin October 13.

Punch Brothers were in London to perform at the 2012 Hard Rock Calling festival in Hyde Park this past July. Among the other artists performing at this year's festival were Paul Simon, Tom Morello, Allison Krauss, Bruce Springsteen, and Paul McCartney. Tune in this weekend to see highlights from the festival, including a song from Punch Brothers' set, airing in the US on VH1 and Palladia and in the UK on Sky Arts. The band resumes its North American tour in September.

The music video for The Black Keys' "Tighten Up," off the band's multiple Grammy Award–winning 2010 album Brothers, has been given the Pop Up treatment from VH1's Pop Up Video. This version adds a new layer to the much-loved video directed by Chris Marrs Piliero, offering new insights and behind-the-scenes details on the making of the video. Check it out here.

AfroCubism, the supergroup of Cuban and Malian singers and instrumentalists, made a rare tour of North America last month. CNN caught up with band member Toumani Diabaté to discuss the project in a piece for CNN's African Voices. "His collaborations and his vision," says CNN, "pairing the unique sound of the kora with instruments from across the globe, open up a world of possibility, all the while maintaining his roots at home in West Africa." Emmylou Harris, who is currently touring North America performing songs from throughout her storied career in music, was recently featured on the Today show, discussing her other great passion: Bonaparte's Retreat, the non-profit dog rescue she founded out of her home in Nashville. Harris introduces viewers to her own rescue dog Bella and plays a bit of the song she wrote about her, "Big Black Dog," off her latest album, Hard Bargain. Watch the complete Today show story here.

The Black Keys are featured on this week's episode of American Routes public radio show out of New Orleans. Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney spoke with host Nick Spitzer backstage at a performance in the Crescent City about life in their hometown, their musical influences, and more. The band is set to make a special guest appearance on Comedy Central's Workaholics this Tuesday. Colvin performs from the album and reads from her new memoir, Diamond in the Rough, at Barnes & Noble at The Grove in LA tonight and performs at the El Rey with Buddy Miller and Viktor Krauss on Tuesday. They performed on CBS This Morning on Saturday. Colvin is featured in the New York Times' Texas Report and in the Austin American-Statesman, which calls All Fall Down "superb."

The Black Keys performed a special rendition of their hit single “Gold on the Ceiling,” at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards last night in honor of the actor/musician Johnny Depp, who joined the band on guitar for the performance before receiving the MTV Generation Award, the MTV Movie Awards' highest honor, from Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. Jeremy Denk, whose Nonesuch debut album, Ligeti/Beethoven, has debuted at #9 on Billboard's Traditional Classical chart, is featured on WNET's NYC-ARTS. He talks to the show about his career in music, his writing, and the impetus behind Ligeti/Beethoven, performing pieces from the new album as well. Denk has "steadily built a reputation as one of today's most compelling artists," says host Paula Zahn. "He is a man of prodigious talent, with a wide-ranging intellectual curiosity."
