    The Black Keys and Nickel Creek will be featured on Austin City Limits (ACL) as the series unwraps the second half of its Season 40 in January. Nickel Creek, appearing for the third time, kicks things off when ACL returns to PBS on Saturday, January 3, on a double bill with The Avett Brothers. The Black Keys make their second appearance on the show on Saturday, January 31. Emmylou Harris appears on a special episode with performance highlights from the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame presentation, as ACL closes out its celebratory season on February 14.

    Austin City Limits (ACL) heads to Nashville for a special broadcast featuring performance highlights from this year’s Americana Honors & Awards. ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival 2014 premieres this Saturday, November 22, on PBS and includes performances from Robert Plant (with Patty Griffin) and Ry Cooder (with Flaco Jimenez and as part of the evening's house band), among many others. The show was recorded live at the Americana Music Association's 13th Annual Honors & Awards ceremony at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium in September.

    Many Patinkin was featured on CBS's 60 Minutes last night, joining correspondent Bob Simon for an in-depth, honest conversation about his life and a lifetime in musical theatre, on television, and in film. He "is one of the most versatile performers we've ever met," says Simon. "I'm a lyrically driven person," he tells Simon. "That's why I love Sondheim. That's why I love Shakespeare.     Conor Oberst was the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC last night. He and the band performed "Zigzagging Toward the Light," off his new album, Upside Down Mountain, his Nonesuch Records debut, released earlier this year. You can watch the performance here. Oberst performs holiday-season benefit shows in New York and California in December and releases an exclusive 7" vinyl single for Record Store Black Friday on November 28.

    The Black Keys perform at The Concert for Valor to honor America’s veterans and their families on Veterans Day, tonight starting at 7 PM ET. The concert will take place on the National Mall in Washington, DC. It will stream live online at theconcertforvalor.com; be broadcast live on HBO, which will offer its affiliates the opportunity to open the signal, allowing nonsubscribers to view the special; and be simulcast via iHeartRadio.

    Lianne La Havas joined Prince on Saturday Night Live this past weekend to perform “Clouds,” from his new album, Art Official Age, recently released on Warner Bros. Records. La Havas, who released her debut album, Is Your Love Big Enough?, on Nonesuch in 2012, contributed vocals to the track on Prince's album and to open his special eight-minute set on the show Saturday night on NBC. Fans in the US can watch the set again here.

    Wilco was the musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night, performing "A Magazine Called Sunset" plus a web-exclusive take on "Cars Can't Escape," both of which are featured on their forthcoming box set of rare studio and live recordings, Alpha Mike Foxtrot. Also on The Tonight Show, Wilco's Tweedy joins Ewan McGregor, Jimmy Fallon, and Charles Barkley for a game of charades. You can watch that and the two performances here. Wilco begins a sold-out, three-night run at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester tonight; in early December, the band will play six, sold-out shows at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre.

    The Black Keys will tape a performance for Austin City Limits on Monday, November 17, for the program's 40th season. The band is making its second appearance on the PBS series, having made their ACL debut around the release of their 2010 album Brothers. For information on how to get free passes about a week before the taping, visit acltv.com. The Black Keys are currently on tour in North America; the Calgary Herald, reviewing last night's show at the Saddledome, says the band "deliver[ed] in a big, big way."

    Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters are on BBC Two's Later ... with Jools Holland tonight, performing "Little Maggie" and "Turn It Up" from the new album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar. Tune in to BBC Two again this Friday night for the full, one-hour episode of Later to see them perform "Little Maggie" plus "House of Love" and "Whole Lotta Love." They kick off a sold-out tour of the UK and Ireland on 9 November.

    David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's musical Here Lies Love has its official Opening Night at the National Theatre's Dorfman Theatre in London tonight. The reviews are in from last night's press night, bringing five stars in Time Out and the Daily Mail, which calls it "revolutionary," and four stars in the Independent, Daily Telegraph, Evening Standard, and the Times. Channel 4 News calls it "extraordinary" and spoke with Byrne in an interview you can watch here.

    Robert Plant was the guest on The Colbert Report last night. He joined his host for a conversation about his new album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar, his endless musical quest, and more. Plant and his band, The Sensational Space Shifters, then gave an on-air performance of the new album's first single, "Rainbow," plus a web-exclusive take on "Little Maggie." You can watch the interview and performances here. Plant and the band closed out their North American tour with a late-night show at Brooklyn Bowl last night. Following their recent tour stop in LA, the LA Times concludes: "The singer and his Shape Shifters succeeded in fusing an untouchable legacy with a passion for experimentation."
