Punch Brothers have just returned home to the United States after a week in Europe that included five-star reviews for their shows in London and Glasgow. As Punch Brothers prepare to launch its US tour in Baton Rouge with Loudon Wainwright III this Friday, they have just added another string of East Coast dates in April, including stops in New York City, Philadelphia, DC, Atlanta, Nashville, and more. The Black Keys launch their 2012 El Camino tour in Europe, with shows in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the UK. The band begins its North American arena tour on March 2 featuring sold-out shows at Chicago’s United Center, DC’s Verizon Center, and two nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden followed by a second batch of dates in April; special guests Arctic Monkeys open on the tour. The documentary This is a Concert by The Black Keys, shot at the band's album-release concert in NYC, is airing now on Palladia.

The Low Anthem is set to launch its six-week tour supporting City and Colour on his tour of Canada and the northern US starting this Monday, January 16, at Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Oregon. The Low Anthem will also be performing a few select headlining shows. The band recently performed a couple of songs for Sleepover Shows, including "Ghost Woman Blues" off their latest album, Smart Flesh. Watch them here. "If you have not been to a Low Anthem show," says the site, "you owe it to yourself to go."

The Black Keys followed a week of performances in NYC celebrating the release of their new album, El Camino, with a weekend on the West Coast. They performed at KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas, at which "the guys could have converted almost anyone in attendance to the Church of Keys with the way the audience hung on to every word and guitar stroke," reports MTV, and at the Video Game Awards (VGA). The Black Keys will embark on the first leg of their North American tour this March, with shows in arenas like New York’s Madison Square Garden, Boston’s TD Garden, and Chicago’s United Center, with special guests Arctic Monkeys opening all along the way. The shows are in support of their new album, El Camino, which the Daily Mail calls "a tour de force" and the Daily Mirror calls "a roof-raising, spirit-lifting triumph.” Tickets for most shows go on sale to the general public starting today and tomorrow.

The Black Keys continued the celebration of the release of their new album, El Camino, with a performance of "Gold on the Ceiling" on the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS last night. Tickets for the March 2012 leg of the band's North American tour go on sale to the general public tomorrow.

The Black Keys kicked off release week for their new album, El Camino, with a special performance for some lucky fans at New York's Webster Hall Monday night, webcast live on MTV Hive. The Black Keys' new album, El Camino, was released yesterday to great critical acclaim and plenty of celebrating all around. The band was on The Colbert Report last night, performed "Lonely Boy" and a web-exclusive of "Gold on the Ceiling"—all of which you can watch here—and performs on the Late Show with David Letterman tonight. Reuters calls El Camino "stunning." The Washington Post calls the band "exhilarating." MTV includes El Camino on its list of the 20 Best Albums of 2011, calling it "positively brilliant." Stereogum says, "There isn’t a single weak track." Consequence of Sound gives the album four stars and finds it "very nearly the Platonic ideal of rock and roll."

The Black Keys, whose new album, El Camino, is just one day away, were featured on NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday, talking with host Audie Cornish about the new album. The Black Keys were musical guests on Saturday Night Live this weekend, performing two songs off of El Camino: "Lonely Boy" and "Gold on the Ceiling." Watch the performances here. The Evening Standard gives the album four stars, calling it “fiery, raucous and ferocious fun.” "The Black Keys have grown into one of the most exciting rock bands of our time," exclaims the Independent on Sunday. "Too late for those album of the year polls?"

The Black Keys are celebrating Record Store Day's "Back to Black" Friday with the release of a special limited-edition vinyl 12-inch of their new single, "Lonely Boy" exclusively at indie music retailers. Both the lead track and the B-side, "Run Right Back," are featured on the band's forthcoming album, El Camino, which hits stores on December 6. Björk performs songs from her new album, Biophilia, on Later ... with Jools Holland, airing Friday night on BBC Two in the UK. She performed the song "Crystalline" on Tuesday night's half-hour preview show; watch the performance here. Among the other guests on this week's shows are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings. Björk will perform at the Lollapalooza festival in Chile next year.
