Olivia Chaney stopped by two BBC radio programs earlier today, in advance of two UK performances this week: at Birmingham Symphony Hall as part of a multi-artist tribute to Nick Drake on Thursday and at St John's Smith Square in London for a program of reinterpreted Purcell music and more at the London Festival of Baroque Music on Sunday. The line-up for this Thursday's concert in Birmingham, titled Way to Blue: Songs of Nick Drake, includes Vashti Bunyan, Iron & Wine, Glen Hansard, and others. The event is curated and will be emceed by Drake's producer Joe Boyd, with whom Chaney will perform a set at the Gŵyl y Llais Festival of Voice in Cardiff next month. Also in June, Chaney will tour the UK as special guest of Ben Folds and yMusic for concerts in Manchester, Gateshead, Brighton, and Cambridge, as well as two nights at the London Palladium.
