During the last leg of their US tour, The Magnetic Fields played several nights at The Town Hall in New York. The Magnetic Fields have announced the dates for the next US leg of their Distortion tour this October. During the last leg, in February, the band made its way from coast to coast for a tour that included several nights at The Town Hall in New York. While there, Stephin Merritt invited the folks at Other Music backstage to discuss the new record and tape a few solo performances—just him and his bouzouki—of “The Nun’s Litany,” from the new album, and “This Little Ukulele,” from his soundtrack for the 2000 film Eban & Charley.     Chris Thile, Punch Brothers Announce 'The Energy Curfew Hour' Second Season, Third Annual Acousticamp

    Chris Thile and his fellow Punch Brothers have announced tapings for the second season of their musical variety show The Energy Curfew Music Hour at Audible's Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City, January 11 and 16 and February 13, 18, and 24; special guests to be announced. (The first season is available now on all major podcast platforms). They have also announced the third annual Chris Thile Acousticamp, returning to Asilomar Hotel in Pacific Grove, CA, June 27–July 1, with fellow instructor/collaborators Julian Lage, Michael Daves, Maddie Witler, and first time faculty Josh Ritter.
