NPR Music has published its year in review of the best music to have been released in 2019, and among the artists featured across its lists are Caroline Shaw, Attacca Quartet, Vagabon, Yola, The Black Keys, Brad Mehldau, Gaby Moreno, Van Dyke Parks, and Daniel Wohl.

Rolling Stone has published its list of The 100 Best Albums of the 2010s, including two Nonesuch releases: The Black Keys' Brothers at No. 14, "one of their most emotive and cathartic records ... set to beautifully smudgy R&B, soul, and low-fi funk," and Randy Newman's Dark Matter at No. 36, "a gem, perhaps Newman’s most mordant assessment yet of his fellow man."

The Black Keys were on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC last night. They performed "Lo/Hi" and "Go" from their new album, "Let's Rock." You can watch both here. The band closes out its 2019 North American "Let's Rock" tour on the West Coast this week.

"The Black Keys are the last rock and roll band to really matter," says the Broken Record podcast. Bandmates Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney talk with host Rick Rubin about everything from their early days together to their new album, "Let's Rock," and even share some unreleased songs. "We started playing when we were sixteen and seventeen before we were a band," Auerbach says, "and we learned how to play together ... We always recorded ourselves because that's what was so much fun ... So, the beginnings of The Black Keys were a recording." Hear it here.

The Black Keys are heading back out on the road this week to start their second leg of their tour of North America, supported by Modest Mouse and Shannon and the Clams. This leg of the tour begins in Sunrise, Florida, and makes stops in Orlando, Raleigh, Atlanta, Houston, Austin, Fort Worth, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Tacoma, and Vancouver. "It’s all about the groove and being able to lock in to all those guitars,” Dan Auerbach tells Rolling Stone about putting together the setlist for the tour. “It’s just fun."

The Black Keys return to the stage after a five-year absence with a performance at The Wiltern in Los Angeles for members of their Lonely Boys & Girls Fan Club tonight. The concert kicks off the band's thirty-eight date North American "Let's Rock" tour. Special guests Modest Mouse will provide support, and Shannon & The Clams, Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, *repeat repeat, and Jessy Wilson will each open select shows on the tour, too. The band also headlines 2019's Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas this Saturday.

The Black Keys announce a Lonely Boys & Girls Fan Club show at The Wiltern in LA on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Members of the club, band's official fan club, will have first access to purchase tickets when they go on sale. Fans can sign up to the club for free here where they can also enter for chances to meet the band and receive music and videos before anyone else. The Wiltern show marks The Black Keys' return to the stage after a five-year absence, kicking off their thirty-eight date North American "Let's Rock" tour.

For the performance, they are joined by their touring band, Andrew Gabbard and Delicate Steve on guitar, and Zachary Gabbard on bass. The video, taped at a recent rehearsal in front of a small audience made up of members of the band's fan club, provides a behind-the-scenes look and a preview of their upcoming "Let's Rock" tour, which starts September 23. The Black Keys debuted the trailer for their "MasterCourse" via Funny or Die, where they provide secrets of their success and songwriting craft, as well as inspiration for some of their songs. In the video, directed by Bryan Schlam, Patrick Carney says, "after this course you’ll be able to write music like the pros," and Dan Auerbach adds, "unless you’re not naturally gifted like us, then we can’t really help you." Congratulations to The Black Keys, whose ninth studio album, "Let's Rock," debuted at No. 1 on the US Top Current Album Chart, and No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album is also No. 1 in the following categories: Top Current Rock Albums, Current Alternative Album, Current Digital Albums, LP Vinyl Album, and Top Internet. Internationally, "Let's Rock" is the band's third consecutive top 10 album in the UK, debuting at No. 3, as well as top 10 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, and Switzerland, among others.
