k.d. lang's "If I Were You (Main Mix)," from makeover, a collection of classic remixes of some of her best-loved songs. The 1995 remix was produced by Junior Vasquez, and the remix video was edited by Dean Kensler from Kevin Kerslake’s original “If I Were You” music video. “Her collaboration with Junior Vasquez laid her emotional cards on the table," writes journalist Larry Flick. “No more mystery. No more hiding in shadows of innuendo. lang had evolved from delightfully confounding country music star to proudly queer pop icon.”

Rhiannon Giddens performs "O Death," from They're Calling Me Home, her 2021 album with Francesco Turrisi. The video features illustrated vignettes of a story about death painted by Maeve Clancy, an Irish crankie roll artist. Giddens explains, “Crankies are a pre-electricity technology that pair a visual narrative, usually painted on a long piece of paper or cloth, 'cranked' by hand to the timing of the song.”

The Black Keys' "Crawling Kingsnake," from their 2021 album, Delta Kream. The video was directed by Tim Hardiman and filmed at Jimmy Duck Holmes’ Blue Front Café, the oldest active juke joint in America. "We were honored to play alongside Kenny Brown and Eric Deaton, who are a direct link to R.L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough," says Dan Auerbach. "This is the Mississippi hill country sound that Pat and I first bonded over.”

Brad Mehldau’s Variations on a Melancholy Theme features the pianist/composer and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, which commissioned this orchestral version of the work, which comprises a theme and eleven variations plus a cadenza and postlude; the album also includes an encore, “Variations ‘X’ and ‘Y.’” This video, created by Robert Edridge-Waks, features selections from the album's Theme, Variation 3, Variation 4, and Postlude.
