Allen Toussaint and Elvis Costello are no strangers to one another. The two collaborated on an album a few years back and have performed together live, including an unforgettable guest turn from Costello at Toussaint's Village Vanguard residency in New York City early this year to celebrate the release of Toussaint's Nonesuch debut, The Bright Mississippi. Tonight, Toussaint returns the favor as he joins Costello on his Sundance Channel interview and performance show, Spectacle: Elvis Costello with ...

On tonight's episode, which airs at 10 PM ET, Costello builds an unbeatable band for a once-in-a-lifetime jam session featuring Toussaint on piano; Nick Lowe, Costello's former record producer and the recent touring partner of Ry Cooder, on bass; singer/songwriter Richard Thompson on guitar; and, from The Band, drummer Levon Helm.

Hurray for the Riff Raff (aka Alynda Segarra) has released an official music video for their song “Buffalo.” One of many highlights from The Past Is Still Alive—one of The Best Albums of the 2020s So Far, per Pitchfork—“Buffalo” is a love song about survival, patience, miracles, and memories of real people and places that Segarra experienced during trips to New Mexico. In the video, directed by Jeff Perlman, Segarra takes over the Field Museum in their brand new home of Chicago, roams alongside a herd of wild buffalo, and shines a light on extinct and endangered species. Hurray for the Riff Raff also performed the song on The Kelly Clarkson Show. You can watch both here.
