Bombino, whose Nonesuch Records debut album, Nomad, was released earlier this year, kicks off the latest leg of his world tour with a performance at the University of North Carolina in Asheville night. The 14-city North American tour continues with additional stops in Nashville, Louisville, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Montreal, Cambridge, Providence, Philadelphia, and DC, culminating in New York City with a concert in Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall on December 6.
Just in time for New Year's Eve, Bombino and his band make their way to the other end of the planet for a two-week tour of Australia, including three days at the Falls Music & Arts Festival, a set at the Southbound Festival; three shows for the Sydney Festival, and a closing concert at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne.
Bombino returns to the States in the spring to perform two sets at the Savannah Music Festival in Georgie on a double bill with Fatoumata Diawara.
