The wait is over. The official line-up for the 2010 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, has been announced. The festival will be held from Thursday, June 10, through Sunday, June 13, and among this year's artists are three Nonesuch groups: The Black Keys, Punch Brothers, and Carolina Chocolate Drops. Among the other performers slated to perform are The Flaming Lips, Weezer, Phoenix, the Avett Brothers, and many more.

The Black Keys have announced their first performances of 2010 (though, technically, the duo did ring in the year with a New Year's Eve/Day show at The Riviera in Chicago). There are three performances scheduled for Florida in April, starting with the Wanee Music Festival and followed by dates at the Fillmore in Miami Beach and the House of Blues in Lake Buena Vista. Later in the summer, Pat and Dan will come to New York City to play SummerStage in Central Park.

The Carolina Chocolate Drops recently celebrated the UK release of their Nonesuch debut, Genuine Negro Jig, with a tour on that side of the Atlantic. With the album out in the States next week, the trio will launch its US tour on February 25. Paste magazine recently included Genuine Negro Jig in its list of ten albums worth checking out this month. "To paraphrase Rakim’s immortal words," writes Paste's Corey duBrowa, "these Drops ain’t no joke." The band members have made their Bonnaroo announcement in a way uniquely their own in a video you'll find at nonesuch.com/media.

Punch Brothers were been busy at work on their next album earlier this year and have now hit the road for an extensive tour of the United States that runs through April. Their performance at the California Market Center in Los Angeles last Saturday brought two banjo aficionados also known for their comedic talents: Steve Martin and Office star Ed Helms. You can read what they told the Los Angeles Times about the band at latimes.com.

American Railroad, the new album from the Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens, is out now. It is the culmination of four years of research, collaboration, and music-making, having brought Silkroad artists all across the US to uncover and uplift stories of those who built the transcontinental railroad and connecting railways across North America. "The result is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and music that have shaped our multifaceted cultural identity, and that must be heard and recognized," Giddens says. Also out now are a performance video of the track "Mahk Jchi" and the first episode of the American Railroad podcast series. The US fall tour continues to November 23.
