Carolina Chocolate Drops were featured on Wisconsin Public Television's 30-Minute Music Hour last Saturday. You can watch the performance here. The band is launching a worldwide campaign to find the perfect Carolina Chocolate Drops logo to be included in their new summer merchandise. Everyone is encouraged to enter; fans will be able to vote on the top five designs.

Carolina Chocolate Drops were featured on Wisconsin Public Television's 30-Minute Music Hour, hosted by "Colonel" Andy Moore, last Saturday. You can now watch the entire 30-minute show online at video.wpt2.org, and catch a 20-minute excerpt below. The quartet performs songs from their Grammy-winning Nonesuch debut album, Genuine Negro Jig, and their recent EP with Luminescent Orchestrii, among others.

In other news, the band is launching a worldwide campaign to find the perfect Carolina Chocolate Drops logo. Whether you are a professional designer or simply a professional fan, the band would love to see your work. The Chocolate Drops are gearing up to create new summer merchandise and want your design included.
 
The top five designs will receive a personalized thank you from the band, and the winner will receive a special Carolina Chocolate Drops prize package including a copy of Genuine Negro Jig on vinyl as well as a t-shirt with your design.

Submissions will be accepted now through May 1. Email your submission to ramseurrecords.holly@gmail.com by May 1 at 5 PM ET to be considered. Everyone will be able to vote on the top 5 designs, selected by the Carolina Chocolate Drops, May 1–6, 2011, on the band's site, carolinachocolatedrops.com, and on their Facebook page.

    The Black Keys' Ohio Players (Trophy Edition), an expanded version of their latest album, which received two Grammy nominations last week, is out now. The new release features a two-LP set in a gatefold jacket complete with four new tracks, an alternate cover, and new album sequencing. The new tracks include collaborations with DannyLux, Alice Cooper, and Beck. The fourth new song, “Sin City,” co-written by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney with Greg Kurstin and Beck, who also perform on the track, debuts today.
