Brad Mehldau is one of the top 20 talents to watch in 2008, according to The Daily Telegraph (UK). Graham Sheffield, artistic director of the Barbican Centre in London, writes in the Telegraph that Mehldau "seems to be one of the most distinctive and creative musicians right across the board." Sheffield recognizes both Mehldau's "great jazz pedigree" and that the pianist "is forging his own style." With a major residency for Brad at the Barbican in the works for this summer, the Centre's artistic director predicts the musician "is about to become a big star in his own right."
