Devendra Banhart, whose new album, Ape in Pink Marble, is due out September 23, has unveiled a second track off the album: "Saturday Night," which can be heard here. The track is also available to download now with pre-orders of the new album—which Uncut calls "excellent"—on iTunes and in the Nonesuch Store, along with the previously released album opener, "Middle Names." Nonesuch Store CD and vinyl pre-orders also include an exclusive, limited-edition autographed print of a drawing by Banhart.

Devendra Banhart, whose new album, Ape in Pink Marble, is due out on Nonesuch Records on September 23, has unveiled a second track off the album. "Saturday Night" can now be heard below via Banhart's YouTube channel and is streaming on Spotify and Apple Music. In addition to instant downloads of both tracks, Nonesuch Store pre-orders of Ape in Pink Marble on CD and vinyl also include an exclusive, limited-edition autographed print of a drawing by Banhart while they last.

The album, Banhart's ninth, was written, produced, arranged, and recorded in Los Angeles by the singer/songwriter/guitarist with his longtime collaborators Noah Georgeson and Josiah Steinbrick, both of whom also worked on Banhart's most recent album, Mala (2013).

    David Longstreth’s Song of the Earth, a song cycle for orchestra and voices, is due April 4. Performed by Longstreth with his band Dirty Projectors—Felicia Douglass, Maia Friedman, Olga Bell—and the Berlin-based chamber orchestra s t a r g a z e, conducted by André de Ridder, the album also features Phil Elverum (Mount Eerie), Steve Lacy, Patrick Shiroishi, Anastasia Coope, Tim Bernardes, Ayoni, Portraits of Tracy, and the author David Wallace-Wells. Longstreth says that while Song of the Earth—his biggest-yet foray into the field of concert music—"is not a ‘climate change opera,’” he wanted to “find something beyond sadness: beauty spiked with damage. Acknowledgement flecked with hope, irony, humor, rage.”
