With March Madness heading into the final stretch, the NCAA has announced that Dr. John—Mac Rebennack—whose new album, Locked Down, is out next week on Nonesuch Records, will be among the performers at the NCAA Big Dance Concert Series held in Mac's hometown of New Orleans this weekend. The free concerts celebrate the NCAA Men’s Final Four and will take place in Woldenberg Park all weekend, with Dr. John set to take the stage Sunday at 4:30 PM.

The Black Keys, whose singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach produced Locked Down, play a free NCAA Big Dance set this Saturday afternoon. Dr. John will be in New York at the time, closing out the first three-night run of concerts, dedicated to the music of Louis Armstrong, in his three-part residency at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Dr. John, Auerbach, and their handpicked band will premiere new music from Locked Down at BAM the following weekend, April 5–7. The series concludes April 12–15 with Funky But It’s Nu Awlins, a funk-infused night of New Orleans music, featuring key players from the Crescent City.
