Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, and Buddy Miller begin a month-long run of their rollicking Three Girls and Their Buddy tour tonight with the first of two consecutive nights at The Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia. The tour concludes at the end of the month in Boston, where the Boston Globe says the show "brings together four shining talents and close collaborators who straddle the country-folk-pop axis ... on the road en masse to perform as a foursome, four venerated song catalogs in tow."

Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, and Buddy Miller begin a month-long run of their rollicking Three Girls and Their Buddy tour tonight with the first of two consecutive nights at The Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia.

From there, the tour heads to a number of spots along the East Coast, through Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maryland, and New York, with a final stop at The Orpheum in Boston.

"The down-home title hardly does the lineup justice, but it gives you a good idea of just how warm and intimate this show is going to be," says the Boston Globe's Joan Anderman in recommending the show so far in advance. "Three Girls and Their Buddy brings together four shining talents and close collaborators who straddle the country-folk-pop axis ... Now they're on the road en masse to perform as a foursome, four venerated song catalogs in tow."
