Emmylou Harris, who is spending the North American summer and fall on tour across Canada and the United States, will celebrate the Southern Hemispheric spring touring Australia with her band the Red Dirt Boys this November. The tour, featuring music from Harris's latest Nonesuch release, Hard Bargain, and favorite songs from throughout her storied career, begins at the Perth Concert Hall on Tuesday, November 6, and include stops in Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, and the Gold Coast. Tickets go on sale this week.

Harris's current tour brings her to the Lagunitas Brewing Company in Petaluma, California, tonight for a special show to benefit Rocket Dog Rescue & Bonaparte's Retreat, the non-profit dog rescue she founded. She performs at the Vancouver Island MusicFest this coming weekend and at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, with Steve Martin and Arlo Guthrie next Wednesday.

Reviewing Harris's sold-out concert at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park’s amphitheatre this past Friday, the Grand Rapids Press's Lorilee Craker says "Harris was ethereal, otherworldly in the beauty of her voice and the unchanging, haunting quality to her music." American Railroad, the new album from the Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens, is out now. It is the culmination of four years of research, collaboration, and music-making, having brought Silkroad artists all across the US to uncover and uplift stories of those who built the transcontinental railroad and connecting railways across North America. "The result is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and music that have shaped our multifaceted cultural identity, and that must be heard and recognized," Giddens says. Also out now are a performance video of the track "Mahk Jchi" and the first episode of the American Railroad podcast series. The US fall tour continues to November 23.
