While all four physical version of Björk's forthcoming Biophilia album—on CD, vinyl, and two custom-made editions—may be pre-ordered in North America in the Nonesuch Store, today is the last day to order the custom-made versions: the Biophilia Manual and the Ultimate Art Edition. Orders must be received by 7 PM ET today, August 11.

Biophilia is an interdisciplinary exploration of the universe and its physical forces—particularly those where music, nature, and technology meet—inspired by these relationships between musical structures and natural phenomena, from the atomic to the cosmic.

The Biophilia Manual presents the music of Biophilia in a 48-page, full-color, hardbound, cloth-covered, and thread-sewn book, tipped on lenticular panel to the front cover, with foil-blocked spine and back cover. The music, on two CDs housed in black uncoated board wallets, includes the studio album plus a second disc of live performances from this summer's Manchester International Festival, where Björk premiered Biophilia. The Manual will be made to order and fabricated only once. To find out more and order in North America, visit the Nonesuch Store now.

The Biophilia Ultimate Art Edition, presented in a lacquered and silkscreened oak hinged-lid case, consists of the Biophilia Manual along with 10 chrome-plated tuning forks, silkscreened on one face in 10 different colors, stamped at the back, and presented in a flocked tray. Each fork is adjusted to the tone of a Biophilia track, covering a complete octave in a non-conventional scale:

Moon: E 329.6 Hz
Thunderbolt: B 246.9 Hz
Crystalline: G 392 Hz
Cosmogony: Gb 370 Hz
Dark Matter: Silent fork
Hollow: C 261.6 Hz
Virus: Db 277.2 Hz
Sacrifice: A 440 Hz
Mutual Core: Eb 311.1 Hz
Solstice: A 220 Hz

The Manual is removed from the case by means of a ribbon pull. Each case comes with an individual numbered certificate detailing the use of tuning forks. The Biophilia Ultimate Art Edition, like the Manual, will be made to order and fabricated only once. A prototype of the Ultimate Art Edition is pictured above in photos by Will Thom. The twenty-seven disc box set Steve Reich Collected Works is due March 14, 2025, on Nonesuch. It features music recorded during the composer's forty years on the label—six decades of his compositions, including first recordings of his two latest works, Jacob’s Ladder and Traveler’s Prayer—plus two extensive booklets with new essays by Robert Hurwitz, Michael Tilson Thomas, Russell Hartenberger, Judith Sherman, and Nico Muhly, and a comprehensive listener’s guide by Timo Andres. Nonesuch made its first record with Steve Reich in 1985; he was signed exclusively to the label that year. Collected Works includes twenty-four discs of Nonesuch recordings and three from other labels.
