LuPone garnered a Tony nomination for last year's Broadway production of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and starred this past summer in Gypsy at New York City Center. Patinkin, a fixture on the small screen in the CBS drama Criminal Minds, originated the title role in Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George in 1984 and recorded Mandy Patinkin Sings Sondheim for Nonesuch in 2002. He is currently at work on a new project for the label.
