Jessica Lea Mayfield, who made her Nonesuch Records debut earlier this year with the release of her new album, Tell Me, is calling on fans to animate her new music video for the album track "Blue Skies Again." The search for the official "Blue Skies Again" animated music video begins today and runs through September 14 September 22 at 11:59 PM PST, with the winner taking home a $500 cash prize.

Here's how it works. Entrants should create a five to fifteen second animated video clip with an open canvas and your full creativity as your guide; clips over 15 seconds are permitted if desired. Upload your video to YouTube. Post a link to your video clip as a comment on the contest page on Jessica Lea Mayfield's Facebook page by September 14 September 22 at 11:59 PM PST. Share your work with friends on your favorite social network.

All video entries will be screened by Jessica Lea Mayfield, and the videos will be judged on their animation. She will select a winner on September 21 October 6. The winner will get the opportunity to animate the official music video for "Blue Skies Again," featured across Jessica Lea Mayfield's web properties and in the Nonesuch Records YouTube channel.

One winner will receive a $500 cash prize, an autographed copy of Tell Me on CD and vinyl, a Galaxy t-shirt, and one pair of concert tickets and backstage passes to see Jessica Lea Mayfield live in 2011/2012 (excluding transportation and tickets for festival dates).

For additional information and to submit your entry, click here to visit the contest page on Jessica Lea Mayfield's Facebook page. We look forward to seeing the results. Good luck!

The Way Out of Easy, the first album from guitarist Jeff Parker and his long-running ETA IVtet—saxophonist Josh Johnson, bassist Anna Butterss, drummer Jay Bellerose—since their 2022 debut Mondays at the Enfield Tennis Academy, which Pitchfork named one of the Best Albums of the 2020s So Far, is out now on International Anthem / Nonesuch Records. Like that album, The Way Out of Easy comprises recordings from LA venue ETA, where Parker and the ensemble held a weekly residency for seven years. During that time, the ETA IVtet evolved from a band that played mostly standards into a group known for its transcendent, long-form journeys into innovative, groove-oriented improvised music. All four tracks on The Way Out of Easy come from a single night in 2023, providing an unfiltered view of the ensemble, fully in their element.

The Staves' new EP Happy New Year, out today, includes three acoustic versions of tracks from their new album, All Now—"I Don't Say It, But I Feel It," "After School," and "All Now"—and a cover of The Beatles' "She's Leaving Home." Also out now: an acoustic performance video for "After School," which the duo calls "a love song to our sister Emily inspired by the bands we were listening to in the '90s. Putting on the rose-tinted glasses and embracing nostalgia."
