Jessica Lea Mayfield is in the UK this week, bringing the music of her new album, Tell Me, to the British airwaves—on BBC 6 Music's Marc Riley and Nemone earlier this week, XFM's X-Posure tonight, and BBC Radio 4's Loose Ends on Saturday—and a live in-store performance today in London. Mayfield then returns to the States to launch her extensive US tour, which includes several events at SXSW and has now been extended into May with some 18 new dates added.

Jessica Lea Mayfield is in the UK this week, bringing the music of her recently released Nonesuch debut album, Tell Me, to the British airwaves and a live in-store performance. At the same time, she has added several new dates to her already busy spring tour schedule.

Mayfield was on BBC 6 Music's Marc Riley show last night, performing three songs off of Tell Me—"Our Hearts Are Wrong," "Blue Skies Again," and "Somewhere in Your Heart"—and talking with Riley about the new album. You can hear the episode at bbc.co.uk, where the first segment begins at around 19 minutes in, and the second segment begins at around 48 minutes.

Earlier in the week, she appeared on BBC 6 Music's Nemone show. You can listen to the interview at bbc.co.uk; Mayfield’s segment begins at one hour and eight minutes in. Nemone has also made "Our Hearts Are Wrong" her "Lunchtime Love" record of the week, which means listeners have been hearing the song each day this week.

Mayfield is in London tonight for a free in-store performance at Fopp in Covent Gardens. She'll also be doing a live session on XFM's X-Posure with John Kennedy tonight. The show starts at 10 PM.

On Saturday, Mayfield is back on the BBC, performing on BBC Radio 4's Loose Ends, which airs at 6:15 PM. You can listen in live at bbc.co.uk.

Following her visit to the UK, Mayfield returns to the States to launch her extensive US tour, which includes several events at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin and has now been extended into May with some 18 new dates added to the tour. See below for all of the currently scheduled tour dates. For more information and ticket links, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Tell Me, produced by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, is out now. Head to the Nonesuch Store for a special bundle of Tell Me with the vinyl 7" single of "Our Hearts Are Wrong," signed by Mayfield.

American Railroad, the new album from the Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens, is out now. It is the culmination of four years of research, collaboration, and music-making, having brought Silkroad artists all across the US to uncover and uplift stories of those who built the transcontinental railroad and connecting railways across North America. "The result is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and music that have shaped our multifaceted cultural identity, and that must be heard and recognized," Giddens says. Also out now are a performance video of the track "Mahk Jchi" and the first episode of the American Railroad podcast series. The US fall tour continues to November 23.
