Joshua Redman and Brad Mehldau will perform together at the official National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Washington, DC, this evening starting at 5 PM EST, joining fellow performers Sheryl Crow, Common, Jordan Sparks, and Ray LaMontagne, as well as President Obama and his family. The whole ceremony will be streamed live online and will be broadcast on PBS stations across the country tomorrow night.

As announced last week in the Nonesuch Journal, Joshua Redman and Brad Mehldau will perform together at the official National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Washington, DC, this evening starting at 5 PM EST. Redman and Mehldau will join fellow performers Sheryl Crow, Common, Jordan Sparks, Ray LaMontagne, and host Randy Jackson at the Ellipse, just behind the White House lawn, for the 86th anniversary holiday event. President Barack Obama and his family will be in attendance, with the First Lady scheduled to read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to children in the audience.

The whole ceremony, performances and all, will be streamed live online and will be broadcast on PBS stations across the country tomorrow night. For more information and to watch the event live, visit thenationaltree.org.
