Nonesuch Records wishes k.d. lang a very happy 50th birthday today. lang will celebrate in style, as she marks the special occasion with a rare concert performance in Singapore tonight. She and her band the Siss Boom Bang perform at the Esplanade in Singapore tonight in advance of their two-week tour of Australia featuring music from their new Nonesuch album, Sing it Loud, released earlier this year, as well as favorites from throughout lang's distinguished career.
The Australian tour kicks off at the Swan Valley Sandalford Winery in Caversham, Western Australia, this Saturday, and includes stops in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Sydney, where lang and the Siss Boom Bang will play an astonishing six-night residency at the State Theatre. Tickets are sold out for the first five Sydney shows; a limited number are still available for November 20.
