In an interview with the Scotland on Sunday, k.d. lang reveals some of the inspirations behind Watershed, her forthcoming Nonesuch release, and examines why it's been eight years since her last record of self-penned tunes. She credits Buddhism and building a happy, healthy, and loving relationship with rekindling her songwriting spark. She'll perform at Glasgow's Celtic Connections festival on January 29 with pianist Dustin O'Halloran, and the new album, Watershed, will be available at the Nonesuch Store starting February 5.
