With Watershed, k.d. lang's first record of new, original tunes in almost a decade, set for release on February 5, k.d. tells Billboard.com a bit about the recording process and explains why she took on the added role of producing the new album. For her, it was all a natural part of the creative process this time around. It also meant greater mobility, allowing her to record in a number of different places, to capture the inspiration of the songs.
