Congratulations to British singer/guitarist Lianne La Havas, who has debuted at #4 on the UK album charts this week with her full-length album Is Your Love Big Enough?. The critically praised album is set for release in the US on August 7 via Nonesuch Records and is available now for pre-order in the Nonesuch Store, where the first 100 orders include a print autographed by La Havas, and at iTunes.

La Havas’ live show, described as “stunning" by The New Yorker's Sasha Frere-Jones, has been lauded by critics and fellow musicians alike. Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon recently told Esquire (UK): “As soon as we saw her play it was so refreshing; somebody who could play their instrument, somebody who could use their voice, but in their own way. She is just fantastic.” Look for North American tour dates to be announced soon. In the meantime, fans can live stream her sold-out London show at the Village Underground today, Tuesday, July 17, at 4 PM EST / 1 PM EST by clicking here; use the Twitter hashtag #liannelive to appear in the virtual crowd as the show streams.

The Evening Standard gives four stars to La Havas' first of two sold-out show at the Village Underground last night, saying the evening's "real triumph was that her soulful, intimate album was transformed into such a thrilling performance."

Emerging as one of the UK’s most buzzed-about new talents, La Havas has received international praise for her music, live performances, and unique fashion sense. She’s been featured in the US in outlets including Entertainment Weekly, NPR, W, Nylon, Vogue, Lucky, Refinery 29, and much more.

The Way Out of Easy, the first album from guitarist Jeff Parker and his long-running ETA IVtet—saxophonist Josh Johnson, bassist Anna Butterss, drummer Jay Bellerose—since their 2022 debut Mondays at the Enfield Tennis Academy, which Pitchfork named one of the Best Albums of the 2020s So Far, is out now on International Anthem / Nonesuch Records. Like that album, The Way Out of Easy comprises recordings from LA venue ETA, where Parker and the ensemble held a weekly residency for seven years. During that time, the ETA IVtet evolved from a band that played mostly standards into a group known for its transcendent, long-form journeys into innovative, groove-oriented improvised music. All four tracks on The Way Out of Easy come from a single night in 2023, providing an unfiltered view of the ensemble, fully in their element.

Akinmusire says, “In many respects this entire work is inspired by and is an homage to the work of the composer Julius Eastman and his organic music concept." The opening track, “muffled screams,” is out now.
