British singer/songwriter/guitarist Lianne La Havas' debut album, Is Your Love Big Enough?, is due out on Nonesuch Records next week, on August 7. But you don't need to wait till then to hear it. The album, which was released in the UK earlier this month to great critical acclaim and a spot at #4 on the album charts there, is streaming in full all this week as an NPR First Listen. The album is available to pre-order on iTunes and in the Nonesuch Store, where, for a limited time, orders include an exclusive 12x12" print signed by La Havas.

"Lianne La Havas possesses a rich, expressive voice—but also, more importantly, a keen understanding of when to dial it back," writes NPR's Stephen Thompson. She does just that on her "terrific, genre-straddling debut album," says Thompson, who sees Is Your Love Big Enough? as "the stuff of Best New Artist Grammys," with its being a "hyper-accessible entry point into a smart, sophisticated sound world."

Thompson concludes: "La Havas retains her capacity to surprise throughout Is Your Love Big Enough? Whether sharing a winsome duet with Willy Mason in 'No Room for Doubt'—they're an ingenious vocal pairing—or repurposing Scott Matthews' 2007 folk-pop gem 'Elusive,' she sings and swings with confidence and charm, style and sway."

Fans around the world will have another opportunity to hear music from Is Your Love Big Enough? later this week as Lianne La Havas performs a special acoustic set live on Friday, August 3, at 4 PM ET, via Livestream. La Havas will also answer fans' questions in a live online chat, so head to livestream.com now to submit a question and check back there on Friday to watch the session.

La Havas recently discussed the album with Spinner and with BUST, which calls it "a great soundtrack to a quiet, late-summer afternoon," and spoke with Essence about her unique sense of style, at essence.com.

The Way Out of Easy, the first album from guitarist Jeff Parker and his long-running ETA IVtet—saxophonist Josh Johnson, bassist Anna Butterss, drummer Jay Bellerose—since their 2022 debut Mondays at the Enfield Tennis Academy, which Pitchfork named one of the Best Albums of the 2020s So Far, is out now on International Anthem / Nonesuch Records. Like that album, The Way Out of Easy comprises recordings from LA venue ETA, where Parker and the ensemble held a weekly residency for seven years. During that time, the ETA IVtet evolved from a band that played mostly standards into a group known for its transcendent, long-form journeys into innovative, groove-oriented improvised music. All four tracks on The Way Out of Easy come from a single night in 2023, providing an unfiltered view of the ensemble, fully in their element.

The Staves' new EP Happy New Year, out today, includes three acoustic versions of tracks from their new album, All Now—"I Don't Say It, But I Feel It," "After School," and "All Now"—and a cover of The Beatles' "She's Leaving Home." Also out now: an acoustic performance video for "After School," which the duo calls "a love song to our sister Emily inspired by the bands we were listening to in the '90s. Putting on the rose-tinted glasses and embracing nostalgia."
