David Byrne has released "This Is That," a new track from his forthcoming album, American Utopia, which is due March 9 on Todomundo/Nonesuch Records. Byrne co-wrote the song with Daniel Lopatin, aka Oneohtrix Point Never. Uncut named "This Is That" the month's Best New Music saying, "This highlight from American Utopia finds Byrne teaming up with Daniel Lopatin aka Oneohtrix Point Never; over resonant, distant electronic drums and samples of Chinese folk instruments, Byrne channels the imagery of gospel music, but with a modern twist … One of the best songs of Byrne's storied career."

"This Is That" can be heard below via YouTube and on Spotify and Apple Music. The track is also available to download instantly with pre-orders of American Utopia on iTunes and the Nonesuch Store, along with the album's first single, "Everybody's Coming To My House." Nonesuch Store pre-orders also include an exclusive print facsimile of a handwritten lyric sheet.

In January, Byrne released the album track "Everybody’s Coming To My House"— co-written with Brian Eno, featuring contributions from TTY, Happa Isaiah Barr (Onyx Collective), Mercury Prize winner Sampha, and others—accompanied by a visual companion piece that can be seen here.

Donnacha Dennehy’s Land of Winter is out now. The piece, performed by the composer's longtime collaborators Alarm Will Sound and conductor Alan Pierson, explores the subtleties of Ireland’s seasons via twelve connected sections representing the months of the year. "It is the varying quality of light that truly demarcates the seasons," Dennehy says, "from the shorter days of grey or piercing light in the winter to the warmer but mercurial light of summer days that at solstice stretch almost to midnight. I like this play between light and time, and it is the major inspiration behind the piece." You can watch a video for “July" here.
