Nataly Dawn, who is currently touring the US, recently appeared on WNYC's Soundcheck to perform a few songs from her new album, How I Knew Her, and talk with host John Schaefer. You can listen to the episode here. The latest video shot at the recording sessions for How I Knew Her at Prairie Sun Studios, for "Why Did You Marry," is now available to watch here as well, via Dawn's YouTube channel.

Nataly Dawn, who is currently on tour in the US performing music from her recently released Nonesuch Records debut album, How I Knew Her, was in New York City last week for two nights of shows at The Slipper Room. While in town, she stopped by the studios of New York public radio station WNYC to perform a few songs from How I Knew Her on Soundcheck and talk with host John Schaefer about the new solo album and her life as one half of Pomplamoose. The episode—including performances of the album tunes "Leslie," "Back to the Barracks," "I Just Wanted You to Get Old," and "Caroline"—aired earlier this week on WNYC. You can now listen to it in full below.

Dawn also stopped by the studios at WNRN in Charlottesville earlier this week as a guest on Acoustic Sunrise, in which she spoke with host Anne Williams and performed a few songs. You can listen to that at wnrn.org.

The Philadelphia Inquirer, previewing Nataly Dawn's recent show there at World Café Live, says her new album "shows Dawn's command over a broad spectrum of nostalgic pop styles, from the rockabilly rave-up 'Please Don't Scream' to the noisy, orchestral blues of the title track, to the understated ballad 'Why Did You Marry.'" The recording sessions for the album at Prairie Sun Studios in Cotati, California, where many of Nataly Dawn's favorite Tom Waits albums had been made, were filmed and are being periodically be released as companion videos on Dawn’s YouTube channel. The latest video, for "Why Did You Marry," is now available there and posted below.

Nataly Dawn's tour takes her to the Red Light Café in Atlanta tonight and at High Watt in Nashville on Thursday before heading to Texas for the weekend. For additional details and ticket links, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.
