Rostam recently stopped by the Spotify Studios in New York City to perform his song "Bike Dream," from his debut album, Half-Light, and to offer his own take on the classic Nick Drake tune "Pink Moon." Both are available now as exclusive Spotify Singles, which you can hear below.

Rostam will bring songs from his new album to venues on tour across North America starting in Atlanta on January 29 and continuing through February, with stops in Nashville, DC, Chicago, Seattle, and more, culminating at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on February 24. For tickets, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Half-Light was released on Nonesuch Records in September. "Stunning," exclaims NPR. The New Yorker says it's "a wondrous album, full of coy dreams and quiet yearning." The Daily Beast calls it "a sublime collection of baroque pop ... one of the more extraordinary records of the year." To pick up a copy, head to iTunes or the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include a download of the complete album at checkout, and listen to the album on Apple Music and Spotify.

Rostam recently spoke with Ira Madison III, host of the Keep It podcast on Crooked Media, to discuss Half-Light, as well as their reaction to La La Land last year. You can hear the conversation at crooked.com.

Donnacha Dennehy’s Land of Winter is out now. The piece, performed by the composer's longtime collaborators Alarm Will Sound and conductor Alan Pierson, explores the subtleties of Ireland’s seasons via twelve connected sections representing the months of the year. "It is the varying quality of light that truly demarcates the seasons," Dennehy says, "from the shorter days of grey or piercing light in the winter to the warmer but mercurial light of summer days that at solstice stretch almost to midnight. I like this play between light and time, and it is the major inspiration behind the piece." You can watch a video for “July" here.
