Patinkin recently spoke with the Poughkeepsie Journal about playing Prospero and some of the other memorable roles from throughout his career. In the interview, he names two very different characters as favorites: the unforgettable Inigo Montoya from the film The Princess Bride and his Tony-nominated turn as Georges Seurat in Stephen Sondheim's Pulitzer Prize–winning musical Sunday in the Park with George. (Mandy sings songs from the latter on his 2002 Nonesuch recording, Mandy Patinkin Sings Sondheim.) To read the complete interview, visit poughkeepsiejournal.com.
