The annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival takes place this weekend, once again coinciding with the longest days of the year, and once again featuring performances from several Nonesuch artists: Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, who perform songs from their Nonesuch debut album, Crooked Tree; Punch Brothers, who showcase their new album, Hell on Church Street, a reimagining of, and homage to, the late bluegrass great Tony Rice’s landmark solo album Church Street Blues; and Rhiannon Giddens, who, with Francesco Turrisi, performs songs from their latest album, They’re Calling Me Home, the Grammy Award winner for Best Folk Album.

---

Emmylou Harris performs at the Azkena Rock Festival in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, on Saturday.

---

Hurray for the Riff Raff continues their tour as special guest of Bright Eyes, performing songs from the new album LIFE ON EARTH at two shows in the Pacific Northwest this weekend: at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle tonight, and McMenamin's Edgefield Amphitheater in Troutdale, Oregon, on Saturday.

---

Rachael & Vilray are joined by a full band to perform songs from their 2019 self-titled debut album and more at Lincoln Center’s Oasis on Josie Robertson Plaza in New York City as part of its free Summer for the City series. Prior to their performance, an adapted dance lesson will be given by instructors from the Mark Morris Dance Group’s Dance for PD program, designed to be accessible for people with mobility concerns and will include seated instructors.

---

Before her Sunday performance at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Rhiannon Giddens and Francesco Turrisi perform two sets of songs from their album They're Calling Me Home at SFJAZZ’s Miner Auditorium in San Francisco. It’s part of the 39th Annual San Francisco Jazz Festival and follows their first night of shows there last night.

---

Wilco, which kicked off a month-long European tour last weekend, performs songs from at Zeebrugge Beach in Belgium tonight and in Eridge Park in Kent, England, as part of the Black Deer Festival on Saturday. Nonesuch releases seven special editions of Wilco’s landmark 2002 album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot on September 16.

American Railroad, the new album from the Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens, is out now. It is the culmination of four years of research, collaboration, and music-making, having brought Silkroad artists all across the US to uncover and uplift stories of those who built the transcontinental railroad and connecting railways across North America. "The result is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and music that have shaped our multifaceted cultural identity, and that must be heard and recognized," Giddens says. Also out now are a performance video of the track "Mahk Jchi" and the first episode of the American Railroad podcast series. The US fall tour continues to November 23.
