This weekend, as the Nonesuch staff takes part in the Brooklyn Flea Record Fair in Williamsburg on Saturday, k.d. lang rounds out the Southern US leg of her Ingénue Redux Tour in Texas, performing at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio tonight—to be filmed for future broadcast on the Landmarks Live In Concert series on PBS’s Great Performances—and McFarlin Memorial Auditorium in Dallas on Sunday. The tour culminates with a concert at Jones Hall for the Performing Arts in Houston on Monday.

“I’ve maintained a certain personal manifesto,” lang tells the Austin Chronicle, “which is just to always try to be true to myself and unapologetic and uncontrived, and stay focused on who I am in the moment.” You can read what else she had to say here.

David Byrne continues his American Utopia world tour with a set at Champions Park in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, as part of the Bourbon & Beyond Festival. From there, he and his band head to South Carolina for a sold-out concert at North Charleston Performing Arts Center on Sunday.

The tour, which NME says “may just be the best live show of all time,” has been shortlisted for a Q Award for Best Live Act. Folks can cast their votes and choose the winners now through Friday, October 5, at qthemusic.com.

Lake Street Dive takes its North American Free Yourself Up tour to the sold-out Sonoma Harvest Music Festival at B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen, California, on Saturday.

---

Natalie Merchant plays two sold-out benefit concerts at Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on Saturday and Sunday, with proceeds going to support educational programming at the Shaker Village museum.

Last year, Nonesuch released The Natalie Merchant Collection, a deluxe ten-CD box set compiled by Merchant. Mojo gave the set five stars, calling it “magnificent ... a definitive and absorbing celebration of an artist with a singular voice and vision.” The Daily Telegraph says, “Merchant is a rare breed: an artist who has never compromised, but instead evolved with integrity, thought, and meaning.”

Robert Plant and his band the Sensational Space Shifters continue their fall US tour, featuring music from Plant's latest album, Carry Fire, with a sold-out show at Brady Theater in Tulsa, Oklahoma, tonight, followed by a set at the Bourbon & Beyond Festival in Louisville on Sunday.

---

Steve Reich’s music provides the score for choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaker’s 1982 work Fase, Four Movements to the Music of Steve Reich, which her company Rosas performs at Centre Pompidou in Paris tonight and Saturday as part of the Festival d'Automne à Paris. Fase features four pieces by Reich: Piano Phase, Come Out, and Clapping Music, all of which can be heard on the Nonesuch album Early Works, as well as Violin Phase.

American Railroad, the new album from the Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens, is out now. It is the culmination of four years of research, collaboration, and music-making, having brought Silkroad artists all across the US to uncover and uplift stories of those who built the transcontinental railroad and connecting railways across North America. "The result is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and music that have shaped our multifaceted cultural identity, and that must be heard and recognized," Giddens says. Also out now are a performance video of the track "Mahk Jchi" and the first episode of the American Railroad podcast series. The US fall tour continues to November 23.
