Pat Metheny launches a month-long, 20-city tour of the United States this weekend, joined by bassist Larry Grenadier. The concerts will take place in intimate settings throughout the US and include songs from Metheny's new solo album, What's It All About, along with new material and favorites from throughout his rich catalog. The tour closes with a special week's engagement at the Blue Note in New York City. Following the US tour, Metheny, Grenadier, and drummer Bill Stewart launch a European tour.

Pat Metheny, whose latest album, What's It All About, was released this summer on Nonesuch Records, launches a month-long, 20-city tour of the United States this weekend. Metheny will be joined on the tour by bassist (and Brad Mehldau Trio member) Larry Grenadier. Taking its lead from the album, which features Metheny's solo acoustic take on classic tunes from songwriters like Paul Simon, Lennon & McCartney, Burt Bacharach, and Henry Mancini, the concerts will take place in very special intimate settings throughout the US. The sets will include songs from What's It All About along with new material and favorites from throughout Metheny's rich catalog.

The tour begins with two sets at The Seasons Performance Hall in Yakima, Washington, Saturday and closes with a special week-long engagement at the Blue Note in New York City. This will be the first time Metheny has played the legendary club as a leader. There are a limited amount of tickets still available. See below for all the scheduled US dates.
