Punch BrothersT Bone Burnett–produced new album, The Phosphorescent Blues, which was released late last month on CD and digitally, is now available on vinyl. The double LP, pressed on 140-gram audiophile vinyl at Record Industry in the Netherlands, includes four additional tracks not available elsewhere plus a download card. To pick up a copy, visit your local music shop, or head to Amazon, the Punch Brothers shop, and the Nonesuch Store, where orders include a download of the 11 original album tracks at checkout.

The band kicked off a 24-city North American tour over the weekend with three consecutive nights at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. The tour continues at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville, North Carolina, tonight, followed by stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, and Minneapolis in the days ahead. The Chicago Reader, previewing the Saturday night show at the Riviera with Michael Daves, calls the new album "stunning." For tour details and tickets, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

That follows similar praise that met the album's original release in January. "Punch Brothers are astoundingly skilled, non-show-offy, and pretty much pushing at the vanguard of really great music you need to listen to right now," said Rolling Stone. "This record would be a great place to start." The Minneapolis Star-Tribune said the album features "some choral harmonies that are somewhere between the Beach Boys and heaven." The CBC called it "triumphant."

The twenty-seven disc box set Steve Reich Collected Works is due March 14, 2025, on Nonesuch. It features music recorded during the composer's forty years on the label—six decades of his compositions, including first recordings of his two latest works, Jacob’s Ladder and Traveler’s Prayer—plus two extensive booklets with new essays by Robert Hurwitz, Michael Tilson Thomas, Russell Hartenberger, Judith Sherman, and Nico Muhly, and a comprehensive listener’s guide by Timo Andres. Nonesuch made its first record with Steve Reich in 1985; he was signed exclusively to the label that year. Collected Works includes twenty-four discs of Nonesuch recordings and three from other labels.
