Punch Brothers, who close out their European tour in Dublin tonight, have announced the second leg of their fall tour. This run starts November 24 in Vancouver and takes the band to cities throughout the West Coast of North America, wrapping up with a pair of Midwest dates in Minneapolis and Chicago. A limited pre-sale for most dates is under way; the first leg of the fall tour is on sale now. Punch Brothers also have a number of festival dates on tap later this month, including Grey Fox, Master Musicians, RockyGrass, FloydFest, and Newport Folk.

Punch Brothers have announced the second leg of their Who's Feeling Young Now? fall tour, featuring music from their latest album of the same name, released earlier this year on Nonesuch Records. This leg of the tour starts November 24 in Vancouver and takes the band to cities throughout the West Coast of North America, wrapping up with a pair of Midwest dates in Minneapolis and Chicago. The band is finishing up its European tour with a performance at Whelan's in Dublin tonight and will return to Europe in early November, playing the Open House Festival at Empire Music Hall in Belfast on November 5. Additional dates will be added shortly. (You can watch their complete Roskilde festival set in last week's Nonesuch Journal.)

Back in the States, Punch Brothers' Chris Thile will play two solo sets at Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles on August 1. (The complete band returns to LA as part of the newly announced fall tour for a show at the Luckman December 1.) Punch Brothers banjoist Noam Pikelny has his own tour dates in July with the band mates Chris Eldridge and Gabe Witcher along with vocalist Aoife O'Donovan perform at Club Helsinki in Hudson, New York, this Thursday, July 19, as part of his Noam & Friends tour.

Punch Brothers also have a number of festival dates on tap later this month, including Grey Fox, Master Musicians, RockyGrass, FloydFest, and Newport Folk. For fans at Grey Fox or RockyGrass, be sure to catch sets from Noam & Friends and Chris Thile with guitarist Michael Daves as well.

    American Railroad, the new album from the Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens, is out now. It is the culmination of four years of research, collaboration, and music-making, having brought Silkroad artists all across the US to uncover and uplift stories of those who built the transcontinental railroad and connecting railways across North America. "The result is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and music that have shaped our multifaceted cultural identity, and that must be heard and recognized," Giddens says. Also out now are a performance video of the track "Mahk Jchi" and the first episode of the American Railroad podcast series. The US fall tour continues to November 23.
