Punch Brothers—whose new album, Who's Feeling Young Now?, is due out a week from Tuesday, on Valentine's Day—will be taking the show on the road across the United States starting the following Friday, February 17, in North Carolina. The band recently added another string of new East Coast dates to their tour schedule in April. Starting with a Mountain Stage concert in Morgantown, West Virginia, on April 15, this new leg include stops in New York City, Philadelphia, DC, Atlanta, Nashville, and more. All of these dates are now on sale, starting today. See below for the full list of shows and go to nonesuch.com/on-tour for additional information and ticket buy links.
The Boston Globe, previewing this month's two-night run at the Somerville Theatre outside Boston, dubs them "must-go" shows. "I never flinch or hesitate to say the Punch Brothers are the tightest, most impressive live band I have ever seen," raves the Globe's Mike Flanagan. "The Chris Thile-led quartet humiliated a loaded lineup at the Newport Folk Festival two summers ago with a set that included, among stunning original material and bluegrass standards, a jaw-dropping rendition of Radiohead’s 'Kid A' using only traditional bluegrass instrumentation. If you’re not sold yet, you’re reading the wrong blog." Read more at boston.com.
The band's take on "Kid A" is included in the new album, Who's Feeling Young Now?, which is available to pre-order now in the Nonesuch Store. Each order includes an instant download of the album track "Movement and Location" and a custom five-coaster set illustrated by the New Yorker cartoonist Matthew Diffee, signed by the band.
