He was in the city earlier this week to talk with CBS This Morning about his new album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar, released earlier this month on Nonesuch / Warner Bros. Robert Plant also spoke with Soundcheck from New York public radio station WNYC yesterday.
"Robert Plant has lived a few lives in his five decades of music-making," says the show."And, at least occasionally on his latest record, lullaby and... the Ceaseless Roar, his voice conveys the sound of a voyager meditating on his many travels."
Plant has previously said that the songs on the album "are an ode to life and love, and the fragile adventure you set out upon unknowingly and unwittingly." He discussed that adventure with Soundcheck host John Schaefer and that journey that brought him from the Welsh borders, through the American South, and back home to the UK.
