The tour, which began this summer with shows throughout July and August, picked up again with a concert at West Virginia University on Monday and continues through November 18 with a concert in Northridge, California, to benefit 88.5 KCSN FM. In December, Watkins leads a headline tour of the West Coast with Aoife O'Donovan.

Jackson Browne makes a special guest appearance on Sun Midnight Sun, contributing harmony vocals on a number of track, as do Fiona Apple, Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Benmont Tench, and Sean Watkins. The album, produced by Blake Mills, includes songs written by Watkins, several collaborations with Mills, songs by Dan Wilson and Willie Nelson, and a rendition of The Everly Brothers classic “You’re the One I Love,” a duet with Fiona Apple. To pick up a copy, head to the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include instant downloads of the album at checkout.
