The Sara Watkins–penned tune "You and Me," off her new album, Sun Midnight Sun, has been chosen as Today's Top Tune by KCRW in Los Angeles. The song, which Watkins recently performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, features harmony vocals by Jackson Browne. Listen to "You and Me" and download the track for free today at kcrw.com.

Watkins, one of the most frequent guest artists on American Public Media’s A Prairie Home Companion, will join host Garrison Keillor and crew for two performances of the show at Wolf Trap's Filene Center in Vienna, Virginia, this weekend: a live performance Friday night and a live broadcast performance on Saturday, which fans can hear on public radio stations across the US and streaming live online at prairiehome.org. Also performing in both shows is Watkins' Nonesuch label mate Shawn Colvin, whose own new album, All Fall Down, is due out June 5.

Sun Midnight Sun
, Watkins' second solo album, was released earlier this month on Nonesuch. Produced by Blake Mills, it features guest appearances by Browne, Fiona Apple, Sean Watkins, and more. The album includes songs like "You and Me" written by Watkins, several collaborations with Mills, songs by Dan Wilson and Willie Nelson, and a duet with Fiona Apple on The Everly Brothers classic “You’re the One I Love.” USA Today calls the album "flawless" and "a gorgeous pop masterpiece ... pure musical pleasure." The Wrap says "it might be the finest album of the year."

Watkins launched her US tour earlier this month. The spring and summer tour includes headline shows, a series of special dates with the band Dawes, a number of summer festival sets, a month-long run as Jackson Browne's very special guest. For additional information, go to nonesuch.com/on-tour.

American Railroad, the new album from the Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens, is out now. It is the culmination of four years of research, collaboration, and music-making, having brought Silkroad artists all across the US to uncover and uplift stories of those who built the transcontinental railroad and connecting railways across North America. "The result is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and music that have shaped our multifaceted cultural identity, and that must be heard and recognized," Giddens says. Also out now are a performance video of the track "Mahk Jchi" and the first episode of the American Railroad podcast series. The US fall tour continues to November 23.
