Shawn Colvin has announced that she will make her long-awaited return to Australia with four dates scheduled in March and April 2013. Colvin will perform sets at the famed Byron Bay Bluesfest at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm on March 28 and 29 as well as solo shows at The Basement in Sydney on March 31 and The Corner in Melbourne on April 1.

Colvin performs the second of two nights at the newly opened City Winery in Chicago tonight before returning to the road with the band Heart, whom she first joined on tour last week. The tour continues with stops in Florida, DC, Virginia, and Mississippi. After Thanksgiving and into the new year, Colvin has a number of solo shows across the United States. See below for all of the currently scheduled shows. For additional details and ticket links, go to nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Colvin released her eighth studio album, All Fall Down, on Nonesuch Records in June. Recorded in Nashville and produced by her longtime friend and occasional bandmate Buddy Miller (Robert Plant, Solomon Burke), it features a group of stellar musicians, including Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Bill Frisell, and Jakob Dylan, among others. The album coincides with the publication of her memoir, Diamond in the Rough (HarperCollins), which is a natural extension of the intimate, personal and often hilarious stories that she weaves into her live concerts. Both the CD and book are available now in the Nonesuch Store, where CD orders include an instant download of the album.

The Way Out of Easy, the first album from guitarist Jeff Parker and his long-running ETA IVtet—saxophonist Josh Johnson, bassist Anna Butterss, drummer Jay Bellerose—since their 2022 debut Mondays at the Enfield Tennis Academy, which Pitchfork named one of the Best Albums of the 2020s So Far, is out now on International Anthem / Nonesuch Records. Like that album, The Way Out of Easy comprises recordings from LA venue ETA, where Parker and the ensemble held a weekly residency for seven years. During that time, the ETA IVtet evolved from a band that played mostly standards into a group known for its transcendent, long-form journeys into innovative, groove-oriented improvised music. All four tracks on The Way Out of Easy come from a single night in 2023, providing an unfiltered view of the ensemble, fully in their element.

The Staves' new EP Happy New Year, out today, includes three acoustic versions of tracks from their new album, All Now—"I Don't Say It, But I Feel It," "After School," and "All Now"—and a cover of The Beatles' "She's Leaving Home." Also out now: an acoustic performance video for "After School," which the duo calls "a love song to our sister Emily inspired by the bands we were listening to in the '90s. Putting on the rose-tinted glasses and embracing nostalgia."
